Leeds, Yorkshire, United Kingdom – April 18th, 2018Filamentive is proud to announce its new distribution and reseller agreement with 3DGBIRE Ltd. Founded in 2016, Filamentive has quickly become a main player in the desktop 3D printing. Filamentive has been well-received by the industry, being named as “one of the most impactful start-ups in the world” by Web Summit and shortlisted for “Material Company of the Year” by 3D Printing Industry.

Sustainability is at the heart of the Filamentive business model. All filaments contain up to 90% recycled content and every product is spooled onto 100% recyclable cardboard spools to make recycling even easier.

“Due to FFF 3D printers using plastic materials as feedstock, unfortunately the technology, as 3D printing becomes more popular, will increase plastic production and consumption, causing the industry to exacerbate the global problem of plastic” states Filamentive founder Ravi Toor. “Filamentive specialise in sustainable 3D printing filament materials. The company was founded to address to the environmental need to use more recycled plastics in 3D printing, and also alleviate market concerns over quality and long term sustainability”.

“We’ve watched Filamentive’s business grow over the past couple of years, and our customers and resellers have seen growing interest in using sustainable 3D printing solutions,” adds Paul Croft, Director, 3DGBIRE. “Sustainability is at the forefront of the conversation in FFF printing and we are thrilled to be able to be part of a solution.”

As a sole distributorship agreement, we will still be selling as normal with no disruption for our existing clients. This agreement will allow us to further expand into 3DGBIRE’s extensive reseller and education channels.
